Run to Remember

Paying tribute to First Responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Run to feel your arms pumping, legs burning, and heart pounding.

Run to pay tribute.

Run to remember.

On April 8, 2018 at 7am, runners of all abilities will charge off the start line to race a 10K or Half Marathon in honor of first responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Now in its third year, Run to Remember LA raises funds for two purposes—to honor the past by serving families of fallen first responders, and to honor the future by enabling first responders to best serve their communities.

“Running your heart out, you realize you don’t have it so bad,” said Commander Jeffrey Bart, Los Angeles Police Department. “All these people died for a much bigger thing, and they gave their lives for something that is absolutely sacred.”

Safariland is a proud sponsor of Run to Remember LA. Our mission, Together, We Save Lives™ is in harmony with the event’s purpose to honor and support first responders who serve their communities, often at great personal risk.

Funds raised are directed to Run to Remember partner charities. In turn, these organizations support many community-based programs such as police mentorships, education and scholarships for youth, equipment for local police and fire departments, at-risk-youth programs, and veteran support.

“Everybody comes together, and focuses on why we’re all here, why we do what we do, sending a great message out to everybody and a lot of support out there as well too, for all the men and women who ran the race,” said Sheriff Jim McDonnell, Lost Angeles Sheriff’s Department. “So thank you all for the support, for the Run to Remember.”
